About Our Program
Our experienced, board-certified surgeons specialize in the surgical treatment of morbidly obese patients. Two kinds of laparoscopic procedures are offered: the Lap Band and the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass. Click here to read about the different procedures. Our program provides a multidisciplinary team approach that maximizes patient outcomes. This team consists of surgeons, a registered dietitian, registered nurse, psychologist and a coordinator. Patients access a program that is tailored to their needs. This will include an empowering approach resulting in a new life and way of eating. Potential patients attend an educational seminar and meetings with our staff prior to having surgery. Click here to see the seminar schedule. Additionally, the surgeon refers potential patients to a psychologist who provide an evaluation before surgery. The Nevada Surgical Weight Loss Center is designed to help patients lose weight and keep it off. We go far beyond the surgery by providing a life-changing program that includes nutritional guidance, support groups and coordination of counseling services.
