In 2004, Full Circle Nutrition was started with the intent to help improve an individual's quality of life through nutrition. Lao Tzu said, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." I strive to provide the tools people can use to help themselves long after I have gone. My goal with clients is to teach myself right out of a job. Betsy Stanley said, "...to know even one life breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." I earned a Bachelors (BS) in Nutrition Science from Cal Poly State University and a Masters (MS) in Dietetics from D'Youville College. For my bachelors, I worked on a weight loss surgery video documentary. While in grad school, I had the opportunity to research the Patient Knowledge of Nutrition Care After Gastric Bypass. The results of this study are posted here. I passed the national exam for registered dietitians through CDR and earned the RD designation, which makes me a dietitian. The LD part after my name stands for "licensed dietitian" and is required in Texas in order to practice dietetics. I speak intermediate level Spanish. I am also a Certified Spinning Instructor. My interests include malabsorptive disorders like celiac disease, and gastric bypass, weight management, food allergies, osteoporosis, nutrition related anemia, nutrition and behavior (ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression), weight management, diabetes, heart health, sports nutrition, vegetarianism/veganism, nutrient deficiencies, and cooking. My next goal is to earn the ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist ® from the American College of Sports Medicine and the CSSD and CNSD specialty certifications from the American Dietetic Association
