Jessie Newman RD, LD Dietitian / Nutritionist

[ Jessie was born and raised in Michigan where she attended and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University. She went on to complete her dietetic internship at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO where she developed an interest for working with individuals who have a diagnosis of obesity. Upon graduation Jessie was hired as the program dietitian for a weight loss surgery center in South City St. Louis. She was recruited in November
2008 by Des Peres Hospital to join the MyNewSelf Surgical Weight-Loss Program team as their program dietitian.

Jessie has a passion for educating others about health, fitness & wellness, and is devoted to keeping up on current trends and research in nutrition to provide her patients with the most up-to-date information.
She is currently studying for her personal training certification to offer her patients even more comprehensive care.

In addition to having a passion for her job, Jessie also has an interest in graphic design, photography, and loves to camp, be on the lake and snowboard.
