Joseph McPhee Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

Bariatric Surgeon Joseph R. McPhee, MD, of Bariatric Physician Specialists, is a board certified surgeon and member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), brings more than eight years of surgical experience to Bariatric Physician Specialists and the Healthy Weight Management programs at Lancaster General Health.   Dr. McPhee is fellowship-trained in advanced laparascopic techniques, including gastric bypass, band and sleeve gastrectomy. He served the past 15 years with the U.S. Navy as an officer in the Medical Corps, with tours in the Bosnia, Sicily, Kuwait and, most recently, Iraq. He also served aboard the USS Comfort to provide Haiti earthquake relief.
