About MePrior to joining HonorHealth System, Dr. Reynoso was associated with Scottsdale Bariatric Center. He also held appointments as Clinical Attending General Surgery at the VA Medical Center in Omaha and Research Associate at the Center for Advanced Surgical Technology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. A graduate of Arizona State University, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. Jason Reynoso M.D. then returned to Arizona, serving progressively as intern, resident and chief resident of general surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. While there, he was honored with the General Surgery Residency Program’s Wendell B. Whitacre MD Outstanding Chief Resident Award. Following his residency, Dr. Reynoso completed a fellowship in advanced minimally invasive surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Jason Reynoso M.D. has authored numerous articles in professional medical journals, including Surgery of Obesity and Related Diseases, Annals of Surgery and others. He also has presented at an American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery annual meeting, as well as several other surgical conferences. Dr. Reynoso is a resident member of the American College of Surgeons and a candidate member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Reynoso is awesome! He knows what he's doing and has a great bedside manner. He did a lapband removal and vsg for me. I cant speak highly enough of him and the program at shc.
