Dr. Philip Weber, Bariatric Surgeon
Philip A. Weber, MD, FACS is the Director of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotics, and the Bariatric Surgery Program at White Plains Hospital in New York. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery with extensive specialized training in laparoscopic surgical techniques. Dr. Weber is one of the few surgeons in Westchester County that has formal fellowship training in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Weber earned his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery internship at the prestigious Mount Sinai Medical Center with a residency at the Hahnemann Medical Center through the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his fellowship training in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center, one of the nation’s first robotic surgery programs.
Dr. Weber is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the Association for Critical Care Medicine.
As a leading expert in laparoscopy, Dr. Weber has authored multiple articles about laparoscopic surgery in the management of gallbladder and colonic disease. His research findings have been recognized and published in many well respected peer-reviewed journals, as well as presented at the annual meetings of several surgical societies, including the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).

With superb surgical skills, he performs minimally invasive surgeries including the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, repair of hiatal/ para-esophageal hernias, colon surgery, inguinal/ventral hernia repair, and solid organ surgery (splenectomy, adrenalectomy, and nephrectomy).
