Anthony Terracina Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS

Dr. Anthony Terracina received his undergraduate degree from the The University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. In 1989 he received his doctorate from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his residency at the nationally renowned Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He then moved to Panama City, FL., where he developed and served as the director of the bariatric program at Gulf Coast Medical Center and Bay Medical Center. In 2004 he moved to Hampton Roads joining the Weight Loss Surgery Center of Hampton Roads in Newport News, VA. Dr. Terracina is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery and the American Medical Association. Dr. Terracina is also a certified proctor and instructor for Ethicon Endosurgery, teaching other surgeons the technique of minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Terracina is the Director of Bariatrics at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, where he performs all of his operations.
