Arsalla Islam, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified surgeon practicing at My Bariatric Solutions in Decatur, Texas. She is known as one of the top vascular, endovascular, and bariatric surgeons in the Dallas, Fort Worth region and beyond.

Dr. Islam earned her medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Pakistan and completed her residency and Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where she served as the Bariatric Medical Director and as a Fellow of American College of surgeons. She completed a Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Islam specializes in the treatment of morbid obesity, hernias, gallbladder disease, benign and malignant masses, endovascular and open surgical treatment for upper extremity, abdominal, and lower extremity vessels, and arteriovenous fistula creation for dialysis. Throughout her professional career, she has authored 8 book chapters and 23 peer review articles.

Dr. Islam is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS). She is a member of the Parkland Surgical Society and the Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS).
