Dr. Antonio Esquerra, Bariatric Surgeon Dr. Antonio Esquerra is an innovative, skilled surgeon practicing at Mexicali Bariatric Center.  He is fellowship trained in advanced laparoscopic surgery and specializes in single anastomosis gastric bypass and anastomosis leaks in gastric bypass. He is board certified by the Mexican Board of General Surgery and also an experienced trauma surgeon.  He received his medical degree from Autonomous University of Guadalajara in the Faculty of Medicine.  He is a member of International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO),the  Mexican Society of Endoscopic Surgery (AMCE), Mexican College of Surgeons (AMCG), and the Mexican College for Obesity Surgery and Metabolic Illnesses (CMCOEM).
