He completed his advanced Laparoscopic fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1999. Shortly after leaving Mt. Sinai he founded the Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery program at St. Peter’s University Hospital with Dr.Robert Brolin and then Dr. Andrei became Director of the Bariatric Surgery Program at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital until January 2004 and then moved to private practice.  Dr. Andrei has performed over 4000 Weight Loss Procedures including Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding (including Lap-Band and Realize Band). Gastric Bypass, Gastric Sleeve, Duodenal switch and revisional procedures.
