Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I had tried everything out there and nothing really works .This has been a blessing i eat little food feel great and happy.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

For me nothing just the people when you go ot and order a small meal they look at you like is this and appretizer or did she it a cow before she came here.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Everything has been the same i have always been a very out door ougoing persono

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

Well i was always reserching for some othe ways out there to see how could i loose weight and this was the only one that i was impress by.

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

No problem at all.

What was your first visit with your surgeon like? How can people get the most out of this meeting?

No , the dr was busy. He then send me and apology letter.

What made you finally decide to have the surgery?

weight was 273.

How did you decide which proceedure to have?

I reserched it AND told thedr what i wanted, and he said yes.

What fears did you have about having complications or even dying from from the surgery, and what would you tell other people having the same fears now?

none

How did your family and friends react to your decision? Would you have communicated anything differently if you could now? How supportive were they after your surgery?

Some of them tried very hard for me not t do it, im the family cook . so they said she gets her surgery there would be no more food.

How did your employer/supervisor react to your decision? What did you tell him/her? How long were you out of work?

That the dont now.

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

The nurses where great i was in and out of the hosp.

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

Im allergic to narcotics so that was a great concern for the doctor he didnt now what to give me for pain.

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I felt great from day one , no anxiety .

Describe your first few weeks home from the hospital. What should people expect from this period?

I came home cooked and clean after my two little ones as and everyday chore.

How far did you travel to have your surgery? (If far, how did this affect your aftercare?)

Please describe in detail what things you could and couldn't eat in the weeks and months following surgery. What foods have been off limits? Please explain how your dietary tolerance changed week-by-week, and then month-by-month since surgery.

I have aten everything.

What was your actvity level in the days and weeks after surgery?

What vitamins and/or dietary supplements have you taken since your surgery?

b12 b6 iron

What side effects (nausea, vomiting, sleep disturbace, dumping, hair loss etc.) were worse for you? For how long after surgery did they persist? How did you cope with them?

none

What was the worst part about the entire bariatric surgery process?

none

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

We have one that meets twice a month and its great.

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

Yes

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

I feel and look great.

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

yes , me huspend says im a movie star .
