Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I was always a 'comfort eater'. A comfort eater, with a very bad and painful life.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The worst thing about being overweight is the sense of shame and I hated my self. The next worst thing would be the constant body aches and pains. Ever tried to simply turn over in bed with 150 lbs of something strapped to you?

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

riding my horses, climbing a fence, or better yet crawling through...I can now fit through! Working cattle and doing it well. We are Ranchers, so big and slow is dangerous. Being able to out-play my grandkids. Training dogs. I am starting agility schooling with 2 of them. I'd never have drempt I'd be able to go watch, let alone go the course before.
