Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

i have had a weight problem all of my life. I had done evry diet and every drug both over the counter and street to lose weihgt. I am not proud but to show the extent that I went to get rid of the weight.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

there is not enough space.. to tell you ... but the self esteem was an issue, daily hygiene was an issue, sitting in places.. goodness.. it can go on forever

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

i can wash my tail....smile.... freedom to move where i want and when i want and how i want...yahoooo

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

tv... al roker talking about it

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

i stayed three days. my experiince was great

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

none

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

the 1st 2 weeks i felt not like mself but it was not bad at all.. i was educated and knew what to expect

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

i atend the support group and come here often. it helps alot

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

yes it was.. it is very small.. about 4 inches.. i am happy

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

yes those darn plateau.. i keep learning that i am building muscle during that time and that the halt will not last long

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

yes... more compliment... and more people talking to you now... i get pissed about that though because those same people could have talkd to me..when i was 362 too..
