Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Never really cared, I was always the funny fat guy, but then my weight started to spiral out of control and I got bigger and bigger and in the blink of an eye I was 400 pounds.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Literally being the elephant in the room. Not being able to do things because of your size. Simple things like fitting on an amusement park ride or in a booth in a restaurant, not only is it frustrating it was often embarrassing when out with a group of friends.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Going to the gym and playing with my kids.
