Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I ate everything I just gave up, then I just decided to take control.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

People stare at you, clothing is a big thing nothing nice unless I this very expensive. But the worst is what you are doing to your body.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I had gastric sleeve surgery 2 years ago at the age of 60. I was hired of being overweight but I wish I had done it sooner. Since my surgery I have started playing golf, I am just more aware of my self. I have a lot to lose but have started my journey and just have to remember I can't lose weight as quick as I did 20-30 years ago. This is not a cure all you have to commit to change, yes I slip up once in awhile but I am human. I just start over the next day.
