Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

My emotional journey isn't likely to be any different from anyone else using this site. We all have a similar painful story and probably a ton of guilt. I won't forget the pain. Some of it made me who I am today. I will not, however, let the pain rule my life anymore. I choose to let the heavy, useless baggage of guilt go. It's standing in the way of my escape from this "fat suit".

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The worst thing about being overweight? I can't ride roller coasters. This is one thing my adventerous soul misses the most.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Waiting for surgey.
