Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
i have struggled for years with my weight. December 2006, i was told i had 3 days left to live because the oxygen in my body was so low, that 3rd day was my 20th birthday. after i left the hospital, i maintained a diet so well that with in 6 months, May 2007, i lost 100 lbs. I was 365, and went down to 265. i maintained that weight for 2 years. I met my husband back in 2009, and out of no where i had to babys back to back and i shot straighted up to 385, the highest weight ever. i am now down to somewhere between 325-345 because every scale i use seems to say something different. i have been seeing dr.green baum, because i really want to get the wls. he recommended the duodenal switch, but after researching it, i am scared to get that one. so i decided on the lap band, but once again after researching it, i dont think i want that one. i am leaning on the gastric bypass. i think that will be the best one for me. at this moment i have been a carb-free diet with my husband, who is supporting me through this. i am hoping to hear some good news SOON about a surgery date!!
What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?
not being able to run after your children.
not being able to fit on rides.
just walk a little without breathing so heavy.
