Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have had a weight problem all my life, I can remember starving my self, eating 1 sandwich a day to lose weight when I was 13 so that as I entered high School I wouldn't get picked on. I have done all the diets, WW, Nutrisystem, starvation diets, and lost and gained it all back then some.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

as an adult I have learned to deal with the looks of disgust from people, people saying that I'm lazy, people not wanting to talk to me or sit beside me like its going to rub off on them, trying to find decent looking clothes, but as a child this really hurt me and totally destroyed my self esteem.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?
