Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have been a big girl all my whole life. I lost weigh when i was a teen and had been struggling to keep it off.when i be came an adult and had my fourth child food became a very important part of our family weekend and night fun.so i became comfortable with my weigh but my body did not. I start loosing energy and becoming tired all the time and had to drink coffee and cafine drink to get me going. I use to eat when i was board or loney so i had to learn to keep myself active know that the kids are grown up. I could never keep the weigh off regardless of how much i diet or exercise. But i am still trying and i am learn the righ way to eat with the help of my bariatric boctors and health team.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The worst about being over weigh for me is not being able to pick up things i drop and not being able to go into a clothing store and find my size in coat or clothing

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

My surgy date is may 21 i can not waite i am excite and anxious and my family is very supportive but i need suport from people who had this surgery so i can keep the weigh off

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

I found out about bariatric surgery when i was on my way home from my physic therphy for my back i saw a pamplet on the grown and almost broke my back trying to pick it up lol i call and ask about it and went to a meeting the next day and i had high hopes every since

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

I have u-care and they are trying to help people who are over weigh to live a long and active life

What was your first visit with your surgeon like? How can people get the most out of this meeting?

My first visit was at a meeting with a bunch of other people who made me feel comforable
