Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have been loosing the battle with weight loss since the age of five Throughout my life I have had many many reasons (mainly people leaving me because all they could see or wanted to see, was that I was fat) to lose weight and I have, but then just put it right back on (and then some)!! Now at this stage of my life, I just want to get healthy and in shape and stay that way once and for all. I believe I will be successful (finally) because this time I'm loosing weight for the right reason---MYSELF.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to do the things I love; wear the style of clothing I like; constantly worrying whether or not I'll break a chair if I sit in it......not fitting in stadium seats!

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I am waiting to be approved for sleeve surgery
