Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I like to eat! Bottom line is I love food. And a lot of it. I have tried everything to lose weight but always defeat myself. Seem to set myself up for failure. Decided one day that I could just be happy being overweight and to forget about diets. But no, I want to feel good about myself again!!!!

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Difficulty in exercising. Hate seeing myself in the mirror and in pictures. (oh so many pics without me in them). I want to buy clothes from regular size department not the PLUS department.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I had surgery this past Wednesday and went home on Thursday. Feeling great and sooooo ready to begin eating stage 2 foods.
