Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Hi, I'm not a stranger to Gastric bypass surgery, my sister had it done twice in 1980 & 1990. She had a lot of problems with it and so it delayed my wanting this surgery. When I hit the big 50, I decided that Ididn't want to be overweight anymore.I've tried many diets and have lost tons of weight only to put it back on. I know now that I want to do fun things again and the weight is keeping me from doing this.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The looks from people. Not being able to fit comfortably in seat, chairs etc.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

my surgery is coming up. After the surgery my goal is to ride rollercoasters, click that plane seat belt with out an extender.Learn to swim, just do the things I liked to do before all the weight
