Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I can't begin to tell you how hard my life was before the surgery..I felt that I had nothing to go forward for...I was always sick...couldn't walk very far because I couldn't breathe...in and out of the hospital more times then i can count. The worst part was having to have my x husband help me get dress to go to the hosp. one day and that was almost the end for me...I took countless pills...5 shots of insulin a day and slept 12 to 15 hours a day...I missed my grand-daughters award program...my best friends daughters graduation...I went to her wedding but hid the whole time...I missed so much but never again...my great grandson will be born in april and i will be there.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

missing so much
