Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I was always a chubby kid and yoyoed with my weight since I could remember. Because of that I was always called fat even went I really wasnt.Needless to say I have confidence issues sometimes with myself. SOmetimes I wouldnt want to go to family parties simply becuase how I looked. The downside to that was that I would stay home and eat out of boredom which caused more weight gain. I gained mostly of my excess weight when I was jobless for about two years. After that I couldnt get back to where I wanted to be.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not feeling good about how I looked. Not being able to approach the girls I really wanted to approach

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

So far my battle after surgery is being happy everyday. Sometimes Im happy about it, sometimes I regret it. But I think its from being so early in post op.
