Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have always been overweight, since I was a kid. My family dieted when I was young with no success. My weight fluctuated a bit but steadily climbed to my heighest weight at age 37.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

I felt frustrated at not being able to do everything I wanted to do, not being able to be active and not being able to always fit comfortably at restaurants & amusement parks.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I've noticed that my mobility is so much better. Being able to tie my shoes, go for walks. I cant wait for the County Fair. I am going on the rides!
