Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
What can I say about 'weight issues' that has not been said a million times over in this site-- I have struggled with my weight all of my life or ever since I can remember. I have been successful and lost weight in the past, only to gain it all back and then some. I finally decided to put an end to my struggle on July of 2011, and had RNY. My life has changed in the last six months, but I have realized that you must put in hard work and dedication in order to achieve the ultimate goal of weight loss-- Yes, even after having this surgery, I feel that I must work harder than ever before, and put in my time in the gym.
What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?
The worst possible thing about being overweight for me was, the way my self loathing affected those people who love me the best. Often times, my friends and loved ones did not know what to say or do to get me over the depression. Let's face it, no one can get you out of a funk other than yourself or a pair of Louis vuitton pumps, right?
If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?
Exercising. Living. Reflecting on future aspirations and or goals...
