Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Well I ate because food was always there for me! When I had a bad day it was there when I had a good day it was there. Food never hurt my feelings and was always there when someone or something left me. I tried many diets only to return to my old friend "FOOD". I have had a hard time dealing with my feelings because I just ate them away but now I have finally have the chance to face reality because I'm not eating my feelings away for the 1st time in a long time I feel human with real feelings.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Being overlooked, underloved, not having the energy to particapate in life and watching it pass you by. Not having the confidence to do even the smallest of things you know in your heart you can do!

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I haven't had my surgey yet! My big day is Jan 26 @ 6am :-D
