Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I constantly ate. There was never a moment in my life that I wasn't running to food for the answer.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to keep up with my daughter, having to take breaks to sit even when just doing something as simple as grocery shopping. Not being able to tie my own shoes. There isn't just ONE thing that I was the worst for me when I was severely overweight.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I think the question should be, What DON'T I enjoy now that I wasn't able to do before. I enjoy being able to hop out of bed in the morning, have energy to run around with my daughter. Having my 13 year old tell ME to slow down so she can keep up. Actually enjoy going out in public, and not feel self conscience about how I look. I love all the energy the "new" me has.
