Sadness over being sick all the time.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Moving....Dancing.....Just enjoying LIFE!!!!!

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

A friend of mine had surgery and I was scared for her but stood by her side the whole way thur it

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

It was a long start but once the ball got rolling it was easy......Breathe it will all fall into place

What was your first visit with your surgeon like? How can people get the most out of this meeting?

I did not meet my Surgeon till day before surgery......Ask questions lots of them

What made you finally decide to have the surgery?

NEEDLES!!!!!!

How did you decide which proceedure to have?

Youtube!!!!! and My Loving Hubby

What fears did you have about having complications or even dying from from the surgery, and what would you tell other people having the same fears now?

Everything is in Gods Hands.....If you do everything you are supposed to do everything will be fine

How did your family and friends react to your decision? Would you have communicated anything differently if you could now? How supportive were they after your surgery?

Most did not like it. Nope....Some are supportive the rest will just have to sit there and watch me shine!!!!

How did your employer/supervisor react to your decision? What did you tell him/her? How long were you out of work?

I am a Stay At Home Mom....My hubby and kids were fine with it lol

What was it like attending your first information seminar on weight loss surgery? Were you glad you attended? if so, why?

It was nice.....I am very glad I did.....Cleared any worries my hubby may have had

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

Very easy. 3 days. Don't know...I never opened my bag lol

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

None

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I was happy and counting down the minutes

Describe your first few weeks home from the hospital. What should people expect from this period?

Rest Rest Rest

How far did you travel to have your surgery? (If far, how did this affect your aftercare?)

2 1/2 hrs.......I have only seen him 2 times since surgery

What was your actvity level in the days and weeks after surgery?

Medium to High......But now I wish I would have rested

What vitamins and/or dietary supplements have you taken since your surgery?

B complex.......Multi.......Tums

What side effects (nausea, vomiting, sleep disturbace, dumping, hair loss etc.) were worse for you? For how long after surgery did they persist? How did you cope with them?

Nausea and Vomiting....Still have them if something does not agree with me....I move along to something else

What was the worst part about the entire bariatric surgery process?

Pain Meds....I hate drugs lol

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

Youtube....Friends and Family......Very Helpful and Important

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

Almost gone.....Better then I expected

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

A few stalls but I keep moving

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

Nope.....I don't let them....I have always demanded RESPECT!!!!!
