Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

OHH WOW I HAVE STRUGGLED WITH WEIGHT ALL MY LIFE !! IVE TRYED EVERYTHING THERE WAS TO TRY !!! IT WAS A BATTLE!

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

MY SELF CONFIDENCE !! THERE WAS NONE WHAT SO EVER !

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

OMG I CAN RUN!!! JOG AND IM NOT PASIN OUT LOL

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

I WANTED IT BUT IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE!WOULD OF BEEN THE BEST THING EVER!

Describe your experience with getting insurance approval for surgery. What advice, if any, do you have for other people in this stage?

I WAS EXCITED TO START LEARNING WHAT I HAD TO ABOUT THE SURGERY!

What was your first visit with your surgeon like? How can people get the most out of this meeting?

IT WAS AWSOME!! HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS ( I HAVE A WHOLE LIST READY FOR HIM )

What made you finally decide to have the surgery?

I WANTED TO LIVE!!!

How did you decide which proceedure to have?

MY SURGEON HELPED ME WITH THAT DECISION! HE WAS VERY HONEST

What fears did you have about having complications or even dying from from the surgery, and what would you tell other people having the same fears now?

I HAD NONE I WAS READY !!! EDUCATE URSELF !!! BEST THING TO DO !

How did your family and friends react to your decision? Would you have communicated anything differently if you could now? How supportive were they after your surgery?

MY FAMILY WAS THE BEST VERY SUPPORTIVE BEFORE AND AFTER MY SURGERY!

How did your employer/supervisor react to your decision? What did you tell him/her? How long were you out of work?

NO PROB!

What was it like attending your first information seminar on weight loss surgery? Were you glad you attended? if so, why?

I WAS GLAD KAISER HAD THE 24 WEEK CLASSES IT WAS THE GREATEST THING EVER NOW THEY R 12 WEEKS NOT GOOD !

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

IT WAS GREAT I WAS THERE OVER NIGHT !!CHAPSTICK IS A LIFESAVER!!!LOL

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

NONE WHAT SO EVER!THANK GOD

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

OHH THE FIRST 3 DAYS WERE HELL! BUT AFTER THAT I WAS READY TO START MOVIN!

Describe your first few weeks home from the hospital. What should people expect from this period?

SORE VERY SORE UMCOMFORTABLE!! BUT ITS WORTH EVERT SORE MOMENT!!

How far did you travel to have your surgery? (If far, how did this affect your aftercare?)

30 MIN!

Please describe in detail what things you could and couldn't eat in the weeks and months following surgery. What foods have been off limits? Please explain how your dietary tolerance changed week-by-week, and then month-by-month since surgery.

SUGAR IS THE DEVIL!!!!!! LOL

What was your actvity level in the days and weeks after surgery?

VERY LITTLE BUT WALKING IS A GREAT TOOL!

What vitamins and/or dietary supplements have you taken since your surgery?

CENTRUM CALCIUM CIT. B12 B1

What side effects (nausea, vomiting, sleep disturbace, dumping, hair loss etc.) were worse for you? For how long after surgery did they persist? How did you cope with them?

JUST STARTED TO HAVE HAIRLOSS BUT HEY IT WILL GROW BACK !

What was the worst part about the entire bariatric surgery process?

NOTHING WHAT SO EVER ITS A WHOLE NEW LIFE!!THANK YOU JESUS~!

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

A BUNCH OF LIL HOLES 6 TO BE EXACT THEY R CUTE GIVES ME CHARECTER!

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

NONE ITS STILL MOVIN ALONG GREAT!
