Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I was so fat and unhappy. I ate to fill a void. I ate due to stress. I ate because I was happy, sad, and I ate because fat people are expected to eat a lot. I was fat by emotional i was in denial. I felt that since I'm college educated, employed and supporting my child I was successful. I was always tired.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

The looks of disgust on people's face when they see ur shopping cart, eating a meal and trying to get a seat on an airplane.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I am almost 8 years post op........I enjoy moving, I like trying on clothes and showing my legs.

How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

I heard it on television (talk show) I wanted one really bad.

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

yes, I think it's because I'm so confident and don't mind speaking up and being heard.
