Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I literally tired every medication that I could take. All of the popular diets, including WW, Atkins, nutrisystem, and many diets I would hear about or read about. I became withdrawn to many people and became very depressed. I had finally given up on ever losing.

My first meeting was great. We watched a video and he explained all types of surgeries and then we met individually and he explained it all to me again and asked if I had any question. Be informed a little before you go so you know what sort of questions you need to ask.

I have one incision that hasn't closed and I clean that take care of that several times each day. I was told I my lungs filled with Carbon Dixiode. The CO2 wasn't helping. They put my cpap mask on and I started to improve.

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?
