i had had a knee replacement a few years ago and almost died from a blood clot in my lung so this surg. the dr. decided to put in a filter. that was fine a little uncomfortable but i felt good about it.at least i knew i wouldn't die from a blood clot. but when the dr. went to take out the filter it had slipped and he couldn't get it out. no big deal you say well no except the anth. wore off and i could feel him digging trying to get it out and i couldn't ask for anymore so i am glad that is over with. and i know it is there but hopefully nothing will come of it.
