Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Food was what I turned to when I was sad, upset, and angry. It made me "happy" but in the end it made my life miserable.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

not being able to do things like normal size people. Worrying about how I look to others and if I can "fit" into places like booths and rides at amusement parks.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I'm able to go into a store in the mall and buy clothes off the "normal" size racks. I can do things I couldn't do before like go on slides at the waterpark or go on a zip line tour.
