Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Will Update Soon...

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Normally, I'd say shopping for clothes since I've become quite the shop-a-holic now, but it really was not fitting places. Cars, airplane seats, turnstiles, movie chairs, stadium seats, amusement park rides, etc. It's an amazing feeling to not use a seat belt extender, or walk straight through that turnstile instead of turning sideways...and best feeling of all was pulling down the bar all the way on the bumper cars because I could now go on them with my nephew. It almost made me cry...

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Honestly, I enjoy being able to walk into a regular store and buy clothing. It was embarrassing to constantly buy clothing at a store for big people. Now, I'm no longer restricted as to where I go shopping and it feels GREAT!!!
