Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Well I didnt feel well all the time and I had no energy to do anything but lay around. My job was becoming a hassle and didnt what to go. Health was getting bad. When eating its was like a shark in bloody water a frenzy. Didnt care what I looked like everything was a hassle to do shower, dress, put shoes on walk in to work etc. I didnt feel good about myself.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to do what everyone else was doing . My buddies would go hunting fishing on a boat and just being able to buy pants and a shirt at a store without going to the big man shop. Just live a normal life and enjoy the little things without feeling bad.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

MOVE AROUND wearing pants and nice shirts being normal. Not fighting myself to move around or doing the simple things. NOT FIGHTING TO LIVE MY LIFE.

I talked with my doctor of the benifits and risk of each surgery and which one was the best for me and my health. Also which surgery he peerform the most.
