Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

Battle seems to be such a little word for such a big problem I have had most of my life. Growing up always being the biggest kid in class, slowing down everyone else on my teams in sports. Deciding to try this and that to only fail at it all. A feeling of lonliness when it came to understanding from other people. It has been hard finding medical help through doctors until finally meeting someone that didn't judge and instead listened to my needs.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to keep up with my kids. Tiring out before I really start.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Haven't had it yet!! But hopefully soon!!
