Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I always HATED what I saw in the mirror. Trying to wear a smile on the outside when I was sad on the inside. Always tried different methods of weight loss...exercise, pills, changed eating habits and so on. I would lose some with all and then gained it back.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being comfortable in my skin. Being around family members who were all small and me being the only big girl.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

Shopping in regular stores and gaining self confidence everyday. Crossing my legs, walking for long periods of time without getting out of breath.
