How did you first find out about bariatric surgery and what were your initial impressions of it?

I LEARNED ABOUT IT BY SEEING A COMMERCIAL ON T.V. AND I SENT FOR A BROCHURE SO I COULD FIND OUT MORE ABOUT IT... ONCE I WAS ABLE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT I KNEW IT WAS RIGHT FOR ME...

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

MY STAY WAS OK , I FELT BETTER WHEN I KNEW I HAD A GREAT NURSE.. I WAS THERE FOR 4 DAYS ( 4 DAYS TOOOOO LONG) I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS I BROUGHT WAS MY SLIPPERS AND A GOOD BOOK...(NOT TO MENTION MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND WAS THERE BY MYSIDE THE WHOLE TIME.)

Did you have any complications from the surgery? If so, how did you deal with them?

NOT ONE COMPLICATION ( I AM VERY THANKFUL )

In the weeks after you got your surgery date, how did you feel? How did you cope with any anxiety you might have felt?

I FELT EXCITED AND BEINGS THAT MY SURGERY WAS THE LAST OF THE YEAR , I KEPT THE OUTLOOK AS "NEW YEAR BEGINNING,, MEANS MY NEW LIFE BEGINS...

What aftercare support group/program do you have? How helpful/important is this?

NONE YET!!!

What is your scar like? Is this what you expected?

IT IS OK , I HAD BEEN CUT ON BEFORE FOR MY HYSTERECTOMY SO I KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT...

Please describe any plateau experiences you have had since surgery.

WELL I REALIZED THAT FAST FOOD AND JUNK FOOD IS MY ENEMY FOR NOW AND ALWAYS.

Do you notice people treating you any differently now?

SOMEWHAT , MOST ARE VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED FOR ME....
