I did not know Joe, nor had I visited with him. But I had to send my prayers your way. I am thankful Joe had this time as a "loser" to more fully enjoy life, to meet and marry, and to fulfill some of his dreams. It is so hard when someone is taken too soon. I send my prayers for healing for you...

I write this comment with sadness in my heart. We lost Joe on December 11th to a tragic accident. He loved and recommended this site to everyone he knew that was thinking about or going to have gastric bypass surgery. He opened up his heart to everyone who needed a hand and he walked the path with so many. I met Joe while on this journey and through our support group and surgeon we met and fell in love and married. Although our time together was way too short, I have a lifetime of love and memories that he left me. Joe was a wonderful man, kind and caring and loved by many. Hi Everyone. Just wanted to give you an update on Joe. He had his surgery yesterday morning and did very well. He had the intestinal part done lap but the stomach part had to be open, so he does have an incision, although not a full one. He was very alert and awake after surgery and in some pain...but for the most part he had a good night. They are going to have him up and walking today. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and good wishes...I know how much Joe appreciates them!! Jaynie

Hey babyface....Happy Birthday!! and I'll wish you a happy "new" birthday on the 6th. You are going to do just awesome with this...the world is going to change and open up so much more. I'm so glad that I met you on this journey and that I am able to travel part of it with you. Thank you for all that you do and are..I'm so lucky to have you in my life!!
