Pam and family, my heart and prayers go out to each and everyone of you. ARDS is a difficult but survivable set back. She has all of your love to keep her focused on getting well, even though she is mostly asleep, she knows you are there and love her very much. That is the key. My husband and I visited with Pam's mother, Dorothy today in the waiting room of the SICU at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock today, Sept. 20. Pam is still very sick, but now they are seeing some improvement every day. She is still in a drug induced sleep, so that she will not be moving around. Without going into any of the medical details that her Mother gave us, which I would probably get wrong, it looks like Pam is slowly recovering. Keep her and her family in your prayers. For those of you who don't know, Pam developed ARDS after some problems after the initial surgery.
