You betcha I can!!! In my opinion, there is none better than Dr. David F.
Greenbaum in Willingboro, NJ. I realize that is a bit south from Lodi, but
I feel it would be worth your time to at least check him out. Dr.
Greenbaum is one of the most carinng, compassionate doctors I have ever
come across, not to mention a highly-skilled surgeon at gastric bypass. We
have a great support group and he is always available by phone or e-mail
for any questions, no matter how far out you are. You can check out his
website at http://www.drthin.com. You can also e-mail him at
[email protected]. Most of his patients love him to death (ME INCLUDED!!!)
Good Luck with your surgery, regardless of WHO you choose!

In New Brunswick, Dr. Andrei and Dr. Brolin. They are both on the asbs.
and Dr. Brolin is the director or something. I know he has a high status on
the asbs. Dr. Andrei does lap and Dr. Brolin does open. Call Joanna there
office gal at 732-745-8600 x5452. Hope this helps and good luck

I've heard that Drs. Brolin and Andrei are very good but I chose Dr.
Greenbaum in Willingboro. I chose him because of his reputation, his
availability if you have problems or questions, his support group, etc. and
I'm glad that I did. Dr. Greenbaum is very consciencious and diligent. If
he refuses to operate on anyone, it's because he sincerely believes that
that person is a poor surgical risk. A friend of mine spent about four
months "getting in shape" for this surgery. The pulmonary
specialist would not OK her. She lost some weight and did some walking to
build up her breating and went through a successful surgery just last
month. These are just my humble opinions. Nancy G.

I think the best is Dr. Michel Gagner in Manhattan. Ok, it's not NJ, but
it's close. He's Chief of Laparoscopic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital and
does both the RNY and DS. He's operated laparoscopically on patients for
whom some doctors won't even do an open. If you'd like to consider him,
book your consult now, because he's in very high demand.

I'll have to agree with Duffy. I live in the same town as Dr. Greenbaum,
but I chose to have surgery with Dr. Gagner in NYC. I wanted a surgeon who
preformed the LAP RNY. I've had absolutely NO post-op complications and my
results have been fabulous! I originally saw had Dr. Greenbaum, but he
only does the
OPEN procedure. Dr. Gagner was definately worth the trip.
