Question:
Does it sound as if i will be approved?

I have Empire Blue Choice PPO. My surgeon submitted info to insurance co. and they contacted him to request more info. ie. weight loss history, documentation of co-morbidities, psych eval etc. My Dr. submitted all the info they wanted except for the psych eval as I hadn't had it done yet. Dr. contacted the ins. co. to see if they received the additional info. and they said that they had except they were waiting on the psych eval. I have since had it done and it should be faxed any day now. My question is: Does it sound as if they will approve me? wouldn't they have said no right away when the received the additional info. and not asked for the evaluation if they weren't going to approve surgery? any comments would be helpful as I am very anxious about this.    — Jodie R. Unfortunatly it didnt work that way for me! I have great west and i just sent out my appeal letter yesterday. I jumped through all their hoops, including the psych eval, and they denied me anyway because i didnt have 1yr med supervised dieting" They knew i didnt have this from the beginning and they had me go through everything anyway!!!! I was not a happy camper! So i hope you have better luck than i did!!! Good luck
