Question:
I know this probably sounds very strange but does anyone experience having a runny no
It seems that ever since my surgery which was the VBG, not at every meal, but there are times when I'll be eating and my nose will start to run. Also, if I don't chew well or take small enough bites and I wind up having to bring it back up as soon as I bend over my nose will start to run. Has that ever happened to any one else? — Donna C. That is ALWAYS a good indication to me that I've eaten too much, too fast,
or gotten food stuck. The only way (as a non-medical person) that I know
to explain it, is that the mucus we normally have draining has no where to
go because the food is backed up in the pouch and if the food settles it
works out okay in an hour or so .. but if something is stuck, it's going to
come up .. I can almost always tell the difference by the severity in the
"runny nose or phlem".

My nose runs too . I had VGB. It's usally a good sign I have eaten too much
and will be sick.
I have gained most of my weight back in the last 2 yrs and I still get
sick.

I had the fobi pouch done, and while I don't get a runny nose,
I always know when I'm very close to overeating because I will
start to sneeze. And sneeze. And sneeze. Tough to eat when
you're doing that. I kind of like it!
