Question:
I Want to share a Dessert
Oh My These are the best!!!! I dont know the calorie content but they are SF and so easy to make. I use these when my Doughnut cravings kick in. 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup Butter or margerine 1/2 cup all purpose flour 2 eggs 1 big Box of SF vanilla pudding( Make while Puffs are baking) Preheat oven to 400, On the stove top in a med. pan bring the water and butter to a rolling boil- stir in the flour and continue to stir until mixture forms a smooth ball(about a minute) then remove from heat add in both eggs and keep stirring until smooth. On a ungreesed cookie sheet place 1/4 cup heaping of dough about 3 inches apart. Bake for about 30 minutes, then cool. Pull tops off Puffs(or cut little circles) pull out extra puff filling and fill with pudding mixture put Puff tops back on top, Put in Fridgerator till serving. ( Makes Six servings) P.S i sprinkle powder sugar on top for presentation — msski (posted on February 2, 2003)

If this is a recipe for cream puffs, then I'm in love with you! LOL. I've
been wanting a recipe for these for ages, and to have a sugar free recipe
is better yet. THANKS! :)

Dan- Yes this is for cream puffs. I made them tonight. They were great and
hit the spot Really easy to make, I would figure they are not to bad on
carbs either being the recipe only calls for 1/2 cup flour. i got the
recipe from a OLD betty crocker cook book and when it came to the cream
filling i thought i would use the SF pudding istead. The book also
mentioned filling the puffs with Ice Cream, bet that would taste good with
a SF ice cream too.

This sounds good. I always make the instant kind and use buttermilk in
place of the milk and it taste like cheesecake.

Yum, Yum, thanks so much for this. The buttermilk idea is appealing to me
also. Love the cheesecake taste! Thanks to you all

Thanks Tara! And Barbara, I love cheesecake so the buttermilk idea sounds
like it will make this receipe even better. Seems like the two combinations
will make for more protein too but that is a guess on my part.

I want to add a little more to my buttermilk idea. I came up with that idea
as I work as a activity director in a nursing home. We have baking once a
week and also have diabetics. Since I am a diabetic also I tried many ways
and hit upon the idea because of the sour taste of buttermilk. I wouldn't
try it in the chocolate kind. I also used this for a family reunion and
added drained fruit cocktail and made it into a fruit salad for a crowd. No
one could believe it when I said it was sugar free.

I made this tonight (couldn't wait!!) and all I can say is yum, yum, yum.
Will make these regularly! Next time I may mix in some softened cream
cheese and a squirt of lemon for that cheesecake taste. Thanks so much for
sharing:~)

I plugged your original recipe into my Master Cook program and came out
with the following nutritional analisis for each Puff. However, I could
only get 4 Puffs out of this recipe. If you got 6, let me know how you did
it. I live in Colorado so I'm thinking maybe elevation may have a factor.
Calories: 201
Fat: 14 grams
Protien: 5 grams
Carbs: 14
The following are the counts if you get 6 Puff out of your recipe:
calories: 134
fat: 9 grams
Protien: 3
carbs: 9 grams
