Question:
I am having my panniculectomy in 2 days and for the last week ...

I have had major constipation. I bought a vegetable laxitive took 2 did not work. Tried Citrucel did not work. So over the weekend I went to Walmart and bought a generic stool softner with laxitive the name brand cost 11.97 so I figured this had to be a good one. Well I took 2 that night nothing then the next night I took 2 more nothing. Today I bought a fleet enema and will try that. My question is preop I would take a laxitive and it would work overnight no problems is it not working now because of our rerouted intestines. I know this is a gross topic but who else to ask but my fellow WLS.    — susan V. (posted on February 12, 2002)
