Question:
I have United Healthcare Select Plus Pos has anyone else had a tummy tuck with hernia

Our United Healthcare plan does not cover any surgery for the removal of extra skin as a result of weight loss for any reason! I have a small hernia that needs to be repaired. My surgeon said he can do a tummy tuck at the same time. The out of pocket cost for everything will be around $5,000. Since the hernia is small and not causing any problems I don't have any plans for aditional surgery right now.

I'm in the same boat as the rest of you. I also have United Health Care Plus POS -- I had absolutely no problem what-so-ever getting approved for the surgery. I'm scared to death I'm going to have to drag around this "pooch" of a stomach after losing weight. I'm not through losing yet, but I'm curious about it now.
