Question:
I had a gallbladder ultrasound and it came back normal now.....
the doctor wants me to have a "hida scan" or a "pipida scan" with ejection fraction. She said that it will mimick the attack I had. I am not looking forward to having this again - can anyone tell me what to expect? — K T. (posted on August 14, 2001)

I had this test performed recently and it is not that bad, it does make you
feel kinda "Yucky" though.
It made me kinda hot then nauseated. Good Luck!

I had this test with the nuclear scan. After 5 ultra sounds saying nothing
was wrong this one is the one that picked it up. For me, the Gall Bladder
wasn't emptying properly. It wouldn't have been found without this test. I
didn't experience any problems. I can't tell you how elated I was to
finally have proof that something was wrong!!!
