Has anyone ever had thier WLS covered by the VA?

I have been approved by the VA and am having an open rny on Sept. 4 at the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines Florida. Evidently it is not done at all VA Hospitals. The best place to start is by asking at your closest hospital. Diabetes staff seem to be more in the know than most about weight loss alternatives. Please email me if I can be of any help.
