Where do I go from here

I talked with my HR department to try and get approval for WlS. They said to go through the channels at UHC. If I am denyed then I need to appeal with my ERISA rights (whatever those are) She said then they will take a look at funding it. So I called Dr. Sonpal in cleveland to get an appt. to go in and they refused to see me because my insurance has an exclusion. I could go back to the bariatric treatment center but I'm not sure that is where I want to have my surgery. What do I do next?    — K T. (posted on February 21, 2001)
